Weed District
The Mineral County Weed District is accepting applications for a SEASONAL (late April/early May to mid-October, not to exceed 600 hours) PART-TIME (20 hours/week) position of Weed Management Technician.
Starting pay is $16.14/Hr. with an increase to $18.00/Hr. after July 1, 2024 and successful completion of training requirements. Position will begin after April 29, 2024.

Job Duties: The Clerk & Recorders office is responsible for all internal administrative duties including finance, budgets, accounts payable, accounting reports, budget process, budget reports, audit process, payroll, & monthly, quarterly and yearly taxes including 1099t, W-2,W-4, processing county mail, and other misc. duties not defined.
This office is also responsible for the recording of all land transactions within Mineral County, obtaining land information and other public records to customers, index for public record and provide copies of subdivisions, and certificate of survey maps, and all other requests.
The Clerk and Recorders office also the county clerk to the Commissioners which include Administrative Assistant duties, minutes transcription, agenda preparation, and agenda posting and is statutorily responsible for maintaining all county records.
This office also handles Human Resource duties, new hire process, employee exit process and employee benefits.
The Clerk & Recorders office also administers state and local elections including voter registration, county addressing, and other election statutorily required processes and procedures. The C&R Office works with multiple software programs including Vital Statistics, ElectMT, Blackmountain, Okta, TAB Eric and other local, state and federal databases. This position will be trained in all areas of this office listed above and all other duties not defined.
Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate should be efficient with keyboarding, computers, computer software, 1O-Key adding machine, scanning and clear legible hand writing is also necessary. Knowledge of Mineral County and Local Government function is preferred.
Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes complicated and loud environment. They must have the ability to stay on task while working with multiple interruptions. Efficient Multi-Tasking a must.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to speak/work with the public professionally and respectfully and poses great customer service skills.
Candidates must be l8 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Montana Driver’s License and may be required to perform a background investigation.
