Disaster and Emergency Services
The Disaster and Emergency Services office is the central hub to handle
all emergencies and disasters within the county. The office advises the
County Commissioners on how to mitigate emergencies and disasters.
This office is responsible for developing, establishing, and coordinating
a community-wide program for response to emergency and disaster situations
in coordination with the State Disaster Plan.
They offer public education training and an inventory of resources.
They maintain for Civil Defense radiological preparedness in war, drought,
flood, severe weather, hazardous spills, wildfire, public health, and other
emergency and disaster incidents.
